Invencia Piano Duo presents a recital on works inspired by Shakespeare and composed by two of the foremost composers of the Soviet Union: Sergei Prokofiev and Dmitri Shostakovich.

Enjoy a brand new concert paraphrase on Shostakovich’s opera, Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District, realized for piano duo by Dr. Andrey Kasparov. The evening will also include excerpts from Prokofiev’s own solo piano arrangement of the score to his ballet, Romeo and Juliet.
