October, 2015: The Apocryphal J.S.

26 October, 2015, 7:30PM, Christ and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church

The Apocryphal J.S.

From September through June, Sacred Music in a Sacred Space offers beautiful services and concerts in the glorious setting of Christ and St. Luke’s gothic sanctuary.  World-class musicians seek out Christ and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church as a performance venue, and we are happy to present these artists to the broader Hampton Roads community.

We are also happy to showcase local musicians who have come to know Christ and St. Luke’s as their musical home. Click here for a complete schedule of the 2015-2016 performance series.

The Norfolk Chamber Consort, under the direction of Andrey Kasparov and Oksana Lutsyshyn, present The Apocryphal J.S., featuring cantatas formerly attributed to J.S. Bach but now discovered to have been written by other old masters. Guest artists include tenor Brian Nedvin and flautist Bokyung Kim. Keyboard works performed by Oksana Lutsyshyn and Kevin Kwan round out the program.  A pre-concert talk by Andrey Kasparov will begin at 7:15PM.

Tickets at the door $25.00, Students $10.00.
